Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Dr. White on July 05, 2016, 08:31:49 pm Yes, yes, yes!
This is what I've been waiting for! It should be on the calendar. You should put it on the calendar. (I know why it's not on the calendar I'm just being impatient) ;) Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Dr. White on August 04, 2016, 12:42:48 pm And now it's on the calendar!
I am so happy. :D Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: eirikr on August 17, 2016, 10:21:46 am "I want a mark, and I want it to hurt."
Damn, but that hits the chord perfectly. Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: hereno on August 17, 2016, 10:59:37 am I thought this was a fantastic return to form after Daffyd veered into "too nice" territory for a while. Loved it.

Perhaps, but if he's not careful the ghost of the book will come back to haunt him. Love this series best of all of them. Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Dr. White on August 17, 2016, 07:13:39 pm I love this!
Spoilers ahead! I like the idea of 'marking' the girls, I especially like that it was Keyleigh's idea. (and she wanted it to hurt!) I'm also pleased to see that Tari and Teresa are remaining active and vigilant while Daffyd is having fun. I really want to see Teresa and Daffyd together more. The part of the conversation where Tari offers a discount for Janice's husband was too hot. I'm still the lone voice in the wilderness opposed to the extreme breast enlargement, but as long as it's not permanent I can handle it. (I also can't read the 'magic words' anymore, what's up with that?) Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Haight on August 17, 2016, 08:23:24 pm Love it, including the extreme breast enlargement... obviously there's the storyline involving the criminal underworld stuff that Daffyd's gotten himself into, but I'm more interested in where Nicolette's plotline goes...
Only downside of this book is that it comes out so infrequently. I wish it was in an every-other-month or so schedule. Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Dr. White on August 18, 2016, 05:35:33 am Love it, including the extreme breast enlargement... Well, everybody's got their 'thing'. obviously there's the storyline involving the criminal underworld stuff that Daffyd's gotten himself into, but I'm more interested in where Nicolette's plotline goes... Seeing as her husband is a potentially corrupt judge, I presume these plots dovetail into each other. :) Only downside of this book is that it comes out so infrequently. I wish it was in an every-other-month or so schedule. Oh, yes! Absolutely! ;D Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: macavity on August 18, 2016, 02:51:14 pm I'm still the lone voice in the wilderness opposed to the extreme breast enlargement, but as long as it's not permanent I can handle it. (I also can't read the 'magic words' anymore, what's up with that?) Not the only one who likes well developed, enormous temporarily but not really gigantic! Yep, my universal tranlator has started failing too. A new dialect, GIGO or what? Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Geo on August 18, 2016, 10:39:46 pm Meh. I've done stories where whole cities were destroyed by expanding breasts. This is nothing.
Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Dr. White on August 19, 2016, 05:21:25 am Meh. I've done stories where whole cities were destroyed by expanding breasts. This is nothing. Yes, yes, that is a particular kind of story for a particular kind of taste. I hope this does NOT become that... Large is fine; comically unwieldy is distracting and not sexy. Yep, my universal tranlator has started failing too. A new dialect, GIGO or what? It looks like GIGO to me... If it's a code I'm done for. Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: Geo on August 19, 2016, 08:12:26 am Check to see if Daphne ROT13ed the input.
Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: macavity on August 19, 2016, 01:23:57 pm Check to see if Daphne ROT13ed the input. OK, so it's a new dialect but still a cipher rather than a code. Thanks for that!Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: hereno on August 19, 2016, 02:15:43 pm I'll bite. How are you guys translating it at all?
Title: Re: Hidden Knowledge #17 Post by: macavity on August 19, 2016, 03:41:07 pm Well, if this is a trend you could go as far as a code wheel:

I was fine with it just being a transliteration font. The substitution code is already more than I wanted. If that hadn't been handed to us I would have never gotten there on my own. ???
