She wasn't hooked in, though. Right? It was the cleansing ritual with Pearl, Adrian, and Dani having lasting effects. So, she saw the effects and contributed to them but didn't feel them. Or something. The Ring Cycle definitely puts a lot more on the table than I had considered.
