So, I'm kind of a dialect nerd, and I came to the understanding that what I thought was the Missouri accent is actually particular to the St. Louis area... so cue research. I can't help feeling that in panel 2 we're seeing some kind of localized gravity effect kicking in. "I strongly suspect that I won't be able to stop you. Or me." Does "And I hope I'm right" mean Erin isn't certain she can trust Miriam? |
