Well, this could either be the sea of passion at the Infirmary, Cherry and her protector on the road, or Pearl in her flight from Reka and Weston's creepy green playroom/bedroom.

ETA--or, something else I hadn't considered at all.

I guess it remains to be seen if this is a legitimate phobia/hangup or mc-induced conditioning.  When she says "not scared, exactly" it makes me think...

I wonder if she knows that trick her mom does?

If someone does want to keep her pearly white then I suppose the big question is who.

Nice work all round with the continuing ambiguity regarding the goodness or otherwise of Miriam's companions.

I find it intriguing that Pearl has gone the Dionne route on "technical virginity" (tm Clueless).  I'm hoping that she finds true release elsewhere because I still don't trust or like Weston (or his creepy greenback bedroom) at all.
