Awesome issue, though a bit shorter than expected. Hopefully the gap doesn’t extent quite as far between this one and the next; I’m eager to enjoy Renee’s next session with Zoe now that Adam is becoming more aggressive with his desires

I'll have more to say tomorrow but I'm a little disappointed that the comic is only 12 pages.  I guess I shouldn't be, since 12 pages is the length of every other comic on the website except the first one (Obedience) and the occasional text-heavy one like Found Objects.  Still, can't help but be mildly disappointed.

I'm getting some Bewitched/I Dream of Jeanie vibes, and I'm here for it. Makes me wish we got more Confused

Or even what becomes of the others under Miriam's control? Do the dreams they are experiencing change? (I can't imagine Erin is going to be particularly pleased with what is Aiken is experiencing.) Is Erin going to free them? Or is she going to begin her own corruption arc?

This also raises the possibility that Adrian's arrival will actually become a complication for the plot rather than a source of resolution. Especially if he's trying to save Erin and crew from Miriam and doesn't realize who is now in charge...

(Then again, I could also be completely off-base here. But we shall see.)

Okay, so this seems to lend credence to the idea that Erin is regaining control of the dream/fantasy. I guess that sucking in the soul of someone with Erin's powers might not have been the best idea on Miriam's part. I am also reminded that right when this whole arc started SJI got this new cover image:

https://mindcontrolcomics.com/comics/sji/c015/

So I kind of expected some kind of grand challenge for Erin to come up eventually. Maybe this is part of it? Or maybe I just read too much into that?

I have to admit, SJI has an amazing way of always keeping me guessing.

An obvious question then becomes: if Erin is regaining control, what is to become of Miriam?

So, apart from reminding me that I only read this thing for the plot anyway, what else does this page do? Well, I suppose it echoes 167 - I wondered at the time why Erin suddenly donned the pentacle in that page. Which does bring me back to the idea of whether this has happened before, or indeed whether it's been happening all along. (Which I suppose also brings me back to the Danni Rain Erin Adrian Mallory thing.) Did Aiken put the pentacle into the drawer here? Did he do it back then too? I'm figuring that back then it was merely Erin's intuition regarding the imminent attempt on Danni's/Mallory's life that prompted her. But she's worn it ever since then, so maybe the question should be: why had she stopped at the start of the comic?

Just regard it as shades of Frankie and Johnny:
This story has no moral
This story has no end
This story only goes to show
That there ain’t no good in men.

But loads of sexy fun along the way....

You might need to think of a different song:

You know what isn't sexy?  Violent death, that's what.
