Greek mythology x cosmic horror, possibly? Interesting. This rabbit hole might go deep. But I suppose there's a precedent for musically-inclined mythological heroes to go to dark places.

Wait, is the Dragon Lady retiring immediately, or has she just tabbed Mallory as her successor.  What exactly does the selection and changeover entail.  Most of this comic is dark and sad and slightly foreboding, but that last panel is an excellent mood shift toward full-on suspense. Grin

Presumably there were some secrets in the books Sawyer and Hans bought at Quartermass Antiquarian Books in 121. Although I wouldn't be too surprised if Sawyer has Hans read him romance novels at bedtime, so...
