how about a story or chain of story's involving a hot evil hypnotic female Pharaoh  that turns people in to her willing servants. doesn't have to be in ancient Egypt and there may be people trying to stop her only to fail and fall for her.

How about a magician who is unfairly dismissed?  He then turns the tables on the Pharoah and his wives, making them toil on the Pyramids at night?

each of the suggestions already made could work for a comic or other story i'd say though the evil chick Pharaoh still gets my prefference throw in a couple of inspectors and secret service lady's that get mc'd and you get yourself a nice base there

I remember a  couple of great  Egyptian themed stories, with MC elements, from  70 comics (must have been Tutmania).

Marvel Two in One #95

Doc Savage Marvel Magazine # 6

And more recently, and while not particularly Egyptian, though it did borrow the Egyptian  God of  evil, Set,  there was a the Atlantis Attacks epic.

Seven Marvel super-heroines  brainwashed to be the bride-consorts of an antediluvian god!
