So is Miriam just misusing the magic that Erin has taught her, or did Jakob do what he did to stop this happening?

Or Erin's on board, since we know at least some of Erin's programming relates to collecting more girls for Adrian and she seemed interested in that in the past. Though the story hasn't focused on that for a while.
