Much like the scenario playing out in "By the Book 2", it doesn't look like there's any defense against the crystals, so the Master (directly or through his recruiter) who strikes first and most aggressively seems likely to win. Brandon's main advantages are probably access to two crystals (for now), and that his original pink crystal seems to be the fastest acting of the three we've seen in this story arc, with no programming required for near-instant enslavement. So, even though he's in the dark, he could probably turn it around if he reacts quickly enough once he knows his ladies are being snatched. (Silly mind-controllers. Town's more than big enough for one if they stay out of each other's way ;) ) But who knows? It'll be fun to find out. For the town to be big enough, the harem would have to be big enough, and the harem is never big enough.
