Why does Morrix have a ladle hanging off his head when he has a bunch of mindless hypnotic slaves to do the cooking for him? Or, if they are in fact too *ahem* mindless, a bunch of henchmen? Maybe as part of his cover story he’s the quirky old man who works the soup kitchen line...

Also, it’s okay, dude, time spent developing a mind control ray is never time wasted. Some pursuits are just too noble to impugn.
